Here is Duel in the Sun gettin use to haveing brush rud up against him he was a liitle unsure of himself at first but now he trots right out thru the brush with no problem

here is Brown Derby carrying balloons on the kids saddle he didn’t mind them a bit it will help when he gets started next yr. he won’t be afraid of some thing on his back

here is a picture of duel in the sun being rode with a flag By ridding with a flag you can get your horse use to a lot of thing happening around him it will help when you start teaching him to drag things or swing your rope off of him or putting on your coat.
yesterday I rode the red horse outside on the desert by my place he did good was a little touchie in the brush when it touched his sides but nothing to bad ridding in the brush will get him gentle . he has a nice fast walk and a smooth lope for a liitle horse he feel strong I think he will make a good ranch horse still touchie about his back end need to work on getting him to let me walk behind him need to take care that before we get to the show but I will I don’t want him to kick anyone I haven’t updated for a few day’s my computers was in the shop seems it need some work done just when I need it haha have a good day

If you would tell more about what he does then may-be I can know what you need If I can be of help I will just tell me what he is doing and what you are trying to do with him and lets see what we can do ok.
update on horse 0220 we still need more votes for a name for him. we rode around the yard and in the bigger arena today he like to go out of the round pen will be going out side soon of course outside here means no fences for 20 or more miles so I need just a little more handle on him the brown colt is doing fine learning to trot over logs and around stuff on a long lead line so is Stepper the Reno colt been teaching them to stand while I walk all around them so they don’t move and pick up their feet both are use to being saddled with the kid saddle of course I don’t ride them they are to young but they will know how to be saddled when who ever gets them wants to start them next year.
Yesterday was exciting day for us we had the folks from German TV here for an update on the horse for Texas They are doing a doc on the mustang for their TV that shows some of us with our mustangs and how we are doing. I rode my horse for them with my flag and out in my big arena he did a good job he is lopeing in both direction and is following his nose when he turns around. Still a little scared of people around but he will get better. He still does not like grain he hasn’t figured out what it is I’m sure he will soon they all do . Hope everyone’s getting along with their horses and hope to see them in Texas.
I like to ride my horses with my flag in hand so they get use to thing flipping around them if you do this get them use to it on the ground first once they get use to it then move up to ridding with it but be careful on doing this some times the horse will bolt so try this in a small pen first I have had good results by doing this in my round pen
just a little humor about voice commands: A man was in need of a horse so he ask around town to see who had a horse for sell and was told that the preacher had one so he went over to see if the horse would work for him. When he looked at the horse the preacher told him that the horse was broke to voice commands . So this feller get on the horse the preacher told him if he wanted to go say prise the lord to stop say amen. So the feller say prise the lord the horse starts walking he says it again the horse go into a trot one more time and they are lopeing along fine. He say amen and the horse stops. OK I’ll buy him the feller tells the preacher. After the deal was done are new horse owner starts for home out on the desert he tell sthe horse prise the lord and the go into a nice lope wanting to go faster he says prise the lord and the start running well up ahead the rider see a cliff fast apporching so he try’s to stop the horse but forgot the word he pulled and cursed but to good finely just at the edge of the cliff he remember and shouted AMEN and the slid to a stop looking over the edge the feller wiped his forhead and said prise the lord one last time So if you train to voice comands remember to tell who ever ride your horse what they are.
the red horse is doing fine we rode out in the smaller arena out of the round pen he is a smooth going horse a natural on his hind end still a little unsure of himself but getting better the brown colt is packing the little saddle and going over logs and other stuff I use to get them gentle this colt has a nice hip he will be a big horse the Reno colt is also packing the kid saddle and goes over and around anything I ask of him both are get use to haveing their feet picked up the Reno colt has had them trimed his name is Stepper
today this little red horse did a good job he is going into a lope easy and starting to get some feel to the snaffle bit he is a smooth traveling horse have to start him gaining weight so he will look good for Texas the brown colt is comeing along fine to i saddle him with a kids saddle so he will know about being saddled but i won’t ride him he is to young
